A Great Friday Night!!!

Well, Friday turned out to be quite the evening. The Syracuse Titans football team was playing Pleasant Grove in the playoffs. I hadn't planned on going since Steve would have to work. But, I'm glad I have good friends and was talked into going - thanks Kristi!

The game was awesome - the final play even better. Syracuse made a touchdown with 1.2 seconds left - winning the game 27 to 25. How exciting!!!

I did learn a few things at the game - Here they are.

1) I have VERY LOUD friends - I didn't know women could yell like that.

2) I don't know as much about football as I thought I did. This entire season Tiffany, Kristi, & Jennie (as well as their husbands and mine (when he came) were very kind to help me try to figure the game out. I thought I was doing pretty well until Friday. I'm so confused!!!

3) Despite being confused, I actually did enjoy going.

Afterwards, we all went to JCW's for dinner. I hadn't been there for years (sorry Chris & Libby - we just don't get down to that end of the valley very often). It was great! Everyone loved the food! If any of you haven't been there and are ever near Thanksgiving Point or American Fork, try it out - you won't be disappointed.

Here is our group - Shaun & Jennie, Kristi & Troy, Debbie, Corbin & Kortney, Rick & Tiffany, McKinley, Carley (you can just barely see her hat), Casidy, Madison, Katelyn, Chantel, Zach, Taylor, Lyssi, & Sara!!!

Here is a pretty good view of the mountains, the Vikings Stadium and the awesome Syracuse Titan Football team!!!

McKinley, Carley, Casidy, Madison, Chantel, & Katelyn anxiously await their food.

A Not-So-Spooky Halloween

Well, as you can tell, our Halloween wasn't very spooky. I guess that is what happens when you have girls. McKinley dressed as a very groovy hippie, Madison dressed as? - I'm not so sure - you be the judge, and Taylor finally gave up trick-or-treating!!!

McKinley carves a pretty "groovy" pumpkin!

Madison - my how you have changed!!!

McKinley is too cool!!!

The girls went trick-or-treating with Casidy and Carley Bair. They had a fun night.

Troy turns 41!

So, the Nye's were nice enought to invite us over for cake and ice cream tonight. If you were wondering what 41 looks like -take a look. Only at Troy though - Kristi is much younger than that!!! Happy Birthday Troy!

Fall Pictures of the Family

We have been trying really hard to get a decent family picture and pictures of the kids. Here are some that we have taken. We'll have to go out again when it is a more cloudy day!!!

We took this picture last week at Layton Commons Park. Thinking about putting it on a Christmas Card???

This on is a nice picture - except for the shadows!!!

I like this one of Taylor - I just wish we didn't have the shadows. I have learned that is is difficult to shoot a decent picture in the sun - the shade is my new friend!
I think this one is dang cute!
McKinley's pictures turned out alright!
Maddi has a hard time smiling - we try to catch her off guard!
I really like this picture of Madison.

Syracuse Varsity Team Plays Davis

Friday night, I took Taylor, Madison & McKinley to the Syracuse -vs- Davis game at Davis High School. Steve ended up working late so he didn't come. We met The Nye's, The Bair's, The Eaton's, and The Gatten's (minus Rick who was out of town) at Dragon Hill for take-out and then proceeded on to the game. We had a great time. The Syracuse team won 10 to 9.

Well, you all know as well as I do that I know nothing about this picture. It just proves that I really did go to a football game. I am getting better at understanding football. Next game, I might even be able to tell you when half-time is!!!

Rhett Nye, #84, plays on the Junior Varsity team but dresses for the Varsity Team. Way to go Rhett!

Here is most of the group - the lighting was horrible and I wasn't able to take very good pictures. Troy, Kristi, Carley, Jennie, Debbie, Tiffany & McKinley. I think Madison and Casidy made a trip to the restroom when I decided to take this picture. Chantel was off with her friends. Too bad, so sad - they aren't in any pictures. I'll need to be better at this picture taking thing if I want good posts on my blog!

This was still early on in the game - you can tell because McKinley is still happy!!!

Of course, Taylor didn't sit with us. That would be too embarassing. But, I did manage to sneak a couple of pictures of her sitting in the student section.

Syracuse Sophomores Play Davis

Thursday, after parent-teacher conference, McKinley and I went to Davis High School to watch Corbin play football. It was their last regular season game. They had a hard go of it and lost the game 14 to 28. It figures that the game that I go to they lose. Fortunately, for my sake, Tiffany's mom, Vickie, brought Tiffany's niece, Kylee, to the game. Kylee and McKinley kept each other busy.

Corbin is #27

Monday Night at the Black Island Corn Maze

Thanks to my wonderful sister-in-law and her blog, I can now have a real posting. Monday night we went with Brian & Heather and their kids to the Black Island Corn Maze in Syracuse. Our family had never been to a corn maze before and we had a great time. Check out the pictures of the kids on the hay slides!!! The kids watched the magic show, raced down the hay slides and watched the pig races. Oh - and of course we went through both phases of the corn maze. However, when we were in phase 2, Kinley will tell you that Uncle Brian made us cheat and we ended up coming out of the maze through phase 2's exit!
